As per reports, the veteran music director breathed his last on the evening of September 18, 2024, at around 8:30 p.m., following breathing issue and age-related health complications.
The tragic news was confirmed by a close family friend of Himesh Reshammiya, age 8Vanita Thapar, who told the media that, Himesh’s father “had a breathing problem,” while adding that Vipin Reshammiya was admitted in “Kokilaben and passed away today at 8:30 pm.”

In her statement, Thapar said, “I have known him for many years and considered him like family. I called him ‘Papa’ from the time he was making TV serials, and later, when he became a music director.
Following Vanita Thapar’s confirmation, Reshammiya family also released a ln official statement expressing their grief.

In their official statement, the Reshammiya family expressed their “profound sadness,” and said that, “we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Shri Vipin Reshammiya, on 18th September 2024.”
Furthermore they describe him as a “kind soul with a heart full of love, his presence brightened the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, cherished memories, and timeless music.”

Funeral Ceremony
Reportedly, the last rites of Vipin Reshammiya will take place on Thursday, September 19, at 11:30 am at Oshiwara Crematorium in Mumbai.
On the work front, recently Vipin Reshammiya had composed a song “Ganpati Ganjaanann,” a first ever devotional song of Himesh Reshammiya.

As per reports, age 87 Vipin Reshammiya who was a Hindu by religion and married to housewife Madhu Reshammiya had composed a number of songs and apart from music composition, he also produced a number of films such as The Xposé, Teraa Surroor, both featuring his son.
