Just last month, Vikramaditya visited the infamous Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which became an act of defiance against the Congress leadership’s stance.
During his visit, the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in Uttar Pradesh hosted him as a state guest.

Vikramaditya Singh reportedly quit as a Congress MLA because he felt that the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government in Himachal Pradesh had been silencing the voices of MLAs for the past year. Moreover, Singh accused the CM, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, of disrespecting his father, who had served as the CM of Himachal Pradesh six times.

Vikramaditya Singh is an Indian politician, who was born on October 17, 1989, in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He is currently 34 years old. He was born to the royal Rajput family of the princely state of Bushahr, and became its titular king, just two days after his father’s death. The crowning took place on July 10, 2021, during a private ceremony at the Padam Palace in Rampur. Vikramaditya served as the Member of Legislative Assembly from Shimla Rural Constituency until his recent resignation.
Parents and siblings
Vikramaditya Singh is the son of the late Virbhadra Singh, the former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. His mother, Pratibha Singh, on the other hand, currently serves as a Member of Parliament from Mandi, Lok Sabha Constituency. His sister, Abhilasha Kumari, is a judicial member of the Lokpal Committee of India and was a former judge.

Education
Vikramaditya finished his early schooling at Shimla’s Bishop Cotton School and later completed his graduation and post-graduation in history from Delhi University. He attended Hansraj College, under DU, for his bachelor’s and St. Stephen’s College, also under DU, for his master’s.
Political journey
Vikramaditya Singh was serving as an MLA from Shimla Rural Constituency right before his recent resignation. He started out his political journey back in 2013 when he joined the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee. Singh was elected as the Himachal Pradesh State Youth Congress president that same year. Later in 2017, he won his first seat as an MLA from Shimla Rural constituency for Himachal Pradesh.
Vikramaditya went on to win the seat again in 2022, and back on January 8, 2023, he created history alongside his father as the first father-son duo to take oath as MLAs for the same assembly in Himachal Pradesh. That same year, Vikramaditya was appointed as the minister of PWD, Youth Services & Sports, and Urban Development Minister under the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government.
