Huw Edward is a well-known journalist who broke the news of the Queen’s passing live on television and hosted the News at Ten on a regular basis.
The 61-year-old was raised in Llanelli and was born in Bridgend in 1961. He lives with his wife and children in Dulwich, London.

His wife, Vicky Flind, acknowledged that he is the BBC presenter who is the subject of accusations involving sexually graphic pictures of a young teenager.
She pleaded for privacy for her family and stated that her husband was “suffering from serious mental health issues” and was currently “receiving in-patient hospital care where he will stay for the foreseeable future”.
Huw has always maintained a high level of privacy in his personal life; thus, it is unknown how the two met and got married. After his home was burglarized in 2019, he spoke out.
He said, “Just for the record, following some misleading press reports, Yes, we had a burglary. No, I didn’t chase the burglar. The police are dealing with it. It happened a month ago, and we are all fine.”
Vicky Flind’s exact age is not in the public domain but it is understood that she is in her 50s.

Huw and his wife have five children together, all of whom are said to be of adult age. They have three sons, Dan, Sammy, and Amos, and two daughters, Hannah and Rebecca.
In a 2021 interview with a news agency, he stated that his two oldest children had a “good level of understanding in Welsh, but the others have less because his wife is English and English is the primary language used in their home.
He stated, “I have a daughter who is a linguist, and three of my sons who are actually linguists. Although I lament it, their ability to speak, pronounce, and understand is fairly good. Nevertheless, they are much more conversant than they otherwise would have been, even though you won’t have a conversation that flows naturally.”
He further added, “They routinely communicate with my mother, who still resides in Llanelli, Kids also take great pride in knowing my father’s history and the significant role he played in Welsh language culture. His books can be found anywhere.”
