According to her father, Varshini a BBA student of Bengaluru had scheduled a photo shoot for New Year’s Eve in the Orion Mall after completing a photography course.

A tragic occurrence occurred when a 21-year-old girl committed suicide at home because her parents had forbidden her from going to a well-known Bengaluru mall for a New Year’s Eve picture shoot.

According to the police, Varshini was a resident of Wilson Garden, a neighbourhood in central Bengaluru’s Sudhamanagar.

Varshini enrolled in a private college in the city to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) after completing a three-month photography course. Wilson Garden police claim that Varshini did not leave her room when the event was discovered on Monday, January 1st, between 10.30 and 11 a.m.

Varshini’s family knocked on the door and even called her cell phone several times, but she was unresponsive. Finally, when her family members forced the door open and discovered that she had committed suicide. Her father hurried her to a local hospital, where, upon arrival, she was pronounced deceased.

A complaint of unexplained death has been recorded

After alerting the authorities, he filed a complaint of an unexplained death, and they are currently looking into the situation. Varshini’s room was examined by the police for a suicide note, but they found none. They are looking through her phone to see if she made any calls or sent any texts before her drastic action. In order to conduct a post-mortem examination, her body was moved to KIMS Hospital.

Shekhar H. Tekkannavar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division), verified the matter with South First. Varishini’s father, a part-time jeweller, complained to the police, claiming that his daughter had finished a photography course prior to her graduation. She requested permission on New Year’s Eve to go to Orion Mall in Bengaluru’s Yeshwanthpura neighbourhood in order to take pictures for a New Year’s celebration.

However, when her parents denied her permission, she shut herself in her room after being upset about it. Her parents never imagined she would take the drastic measure; they assumed she only wanted some time to herself. The Wilson Garden police have opened an investigation into an apparent unnatural death.
