Tasleem Jahan, a nurse who worked in Uttarakhand was found r*ped and murdered
Just days after Kolkataโs RG Kar Medical College and Hospital r*pe and murder case, another brutal incident took place in Uttar Pradesh.
For the unversed, recently reports emerged online suggesting that last Thursday, the dead body of a nurse identified as Tasleem Jahan was discovered in an empty plot near Vasundhara Enclave in the Dibdiba area of Uttar Pradesh.

Reportedly, the Bilaspur police in the U.P. conducted an autopsy, however, the report didnโt confirm the cause of death.
What Exactly Happened?
As per reports, Tasleem Jahan, who worked as a nurse in a private hospital in Uttarakhand, had been missing since July 30. On July 31, her sister filed a missing personโs report at Rudrapur police station.
As per the authorities, during their investigation, several layers of mystery unraveled as CCTV footage from July 30, revealed 33 year old Tasleem Jahan taking an auto-rickshaw from Indira Chowk, Rudrapur.

However, she never reached her home in Vasundhara Apartments. A suspect was also spotted in the footage. The authorities tracked the stolen mobile phone of the deceased to Bareilly.
Later, it was revealed that the phone was being used by a resident of Bareilly, Dharmendra. When the investigators reached Bareilly, they found that Dharmendra and his family had already fled.
However, eventually Dharmendra was arrested by the police in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in connection with the Rudrapurโs nurseโ r*pe and murder case.
Following the news that came to the light, ADG AP Anshuman addressed the media.
Furthermore, ADG AP Anshuman expressed concern over the incident, stating that the authorities had taken the matter seriously and had arrested the accused.
He added that this incident should not be compared to the incident in Kolkata, as such cases are rare in Uttarakhand, which is a peaceful state.

He expressed concern over the incident, stating that the police had taken the matter seriously and had arrested the accused.
He also mentioned that, in consideration of womenโs safety, every police station has a womenโs help desk. The police encourage all working women to use the Gaura Devi app for enhanced safety.
The police arrested the suspect on Wednesday, August 14th, from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The suspect is a laborer from Uttar Pradesh, and Tasleemโs body was found near the Uttar Pradesh border, in an empty plot near Vasundhara Enclave.
In Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, a man named Dharmendra attacked Tasleem Jahan near her house, raped her and strangled her to death.
