Nitish Roenik Kumar is a Canadian-American cricket player who was born on May 21, 1994 in Scarborough, Ontario. He is currently 30 years old and went to school and university in England.

His love for cricket made him shift to the USA in 2020 when he was 26. Nitish played for Canada in the ICC Continental Cup as a first-class cricket player from 2009 to 2013.
He played university cricket for Loughborough in the MCC for two years from2015 to 2017 and against Afghanistan in an ODI in 2010, he made his debut for Canada on international level.
He has led the Canada National Cricket team as a captain in the past as he was appointed in 2016. He is a right-handed batsman and right arm off spin bowler.
After representing his nation in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in January, Kumar made history the following month by becoming the second-youngest player in One Day International history, on his debut.
When Canada played in the 2011 World Cup, Kumar made history as the youngest player to play in a World Cup. He played in his first Twenty20 International match in March of 2012.
