Earlier, reports surfaced online indicating that a 21-year-old student from Dausa district in Rajasthan was found under suspicious circumstances in the bushes of Mukherjee Nagar, Guru Tegh Bahaadur Nagar, Delhi.
The body of 21-year-old Deepak Kumar Meena who was a Dalit Hindu from Dausa, Rajasthan, who was preparing for the UPSC Mains at Drishti Coaching in Delhiโs Mukherjee Nagar, was found under suspicious circumstances in the bushes after being missing for 10 days. His family suspects foul play and believes it to be murder, as Deepak was mentally and emotionally stable according to them.
Meena’s father C.L. Meena told the police that his son arrived in Delhi in July to prepare for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) mains exam after qualifying the preliminaries and used to call home every evening. The family last spoke to him on September 10.

What Did the Police Say?
As per reports, the student had been missing for approximately 10 days while he was preparing for the UPSC Main exams. As per the initial investigations, the authorities are treating the case as a suspected s*icide.
Though, as of now, no s*icide note has been discovered, and the motive remains unclear. The investigators said that they have started searching Deepak Kumar Meena after receiving reports of his disappearance and found his body near the bushes on Friday.
Media reports claims that the Delhi police believe that Deepak Kumar Meena died by hanging near the Dussehra grounds in Mukherjee Nagar as they said that they havenโt detected any foul play.
In addition, the police are reviewing the CCTV footage, which revealed that Deepak Kumar Meena walking towards the Dussehra grounds alone. The body has been sent for the post-mortem.
As per media reports, the post-mortem has been conducted and authorities are awaiting for the official report to confirm the cause of death.
In recent times, cases of UPSC civil services aspirant committing s*icide have been increasing. The tragic incident follows the s*icide of another civil services aspirant in New Delhiโs old Rajinder Nagar, last month.
The young woman, in her s*icide note cited stress over rising rent, the pressure of the exams, and urged the government to โreduce scams in government examsโ and โgenerate employment.โ
Meanwhile, on August 28, a 22-year-old youthโs body was found hanging inside his rented accommodation in Lucknow.
