Kate Faasse attended Pinnacle High School during her childhood, where she played for the SC del Sol club. After missing her junior season due to injury, she eventually got named to Arizona Republic’s 2022 All-Arizona girls soccer team. Kate won the title of AIAโs 6A Conference Offensive Player of the Year after scoring 31 goals and 12 assists.
She also took part in the US Under-14 Girl’s National Team Camp and US U-18 Girls National Team Virtual Camp. Kate was also part of the 2017 ODP Region IV all-tournament team and played in the 2021 U-18/19 ENCNL National Selection Game. She served as the team captain at both the high school and club level.
After graduating high school, Kate joined UNC in 2022, and played in 17 matches and logged 233 minutes in her freshman season. She made her UNC debut during the season opener match against Tennessee, playing six minutes. She later recorded her first assist at Texas and later scored her first goal the next match against Baylor. She was named as a member of the ACC All-Academic Team that year.
During her sophomore season Kate appeared in all 23 matches and logged and impressive 716 minutes. She finished the season with two goals, three assists and seven points with 16 shots, including six on target.
