His career
Richard Kettleborough developed his cricketing skills while attending Worksop College, where he was a renowned member of the college cricket XI. He was a competent left-handed batter and occasionally a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
He qualified as a first-class umpire on the ECB list in 2006, and his umpiring abilities were on display in August 2009 when he paired up with Ian Gould to officiate an international Twenty20 match between England and Australia. Then, in November 2009, he was promoted to the International Panel of ICC Umpires, and in May 2011, he joined the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
