Chaeyoung career
Chaeyoung became the first member of the group who has received writing credits when she wrote a rap verse for Twice’s version of J. Y. Park’s “Precious Love” which is a part of their 2016 EP Page Two.
Chaeyoung wrote lyrics for multiple songs by Twice. For the group’s second Japanese on track “How U Doin'”, she had first taken part in composing for the first time and also became the first member to do so.
She also designed the limited edition cover of Page Two and three different pairs of SPRIS shoes. As a soloist, Chaeyoung has released a cover of “Alone” by Cheeze.

On the 18th of March 2023, Chaeyoung appeared wearing a t-shirt with imagery of QAnon, a far-right American conspiracy theory group, during the promotion of the “Set Me Free” on the MBC’s Show! Music Core.
3 days later, on the 21st of March, Chaeyoung uploaded a photo on Instagram in which she was wearing a t-shirt with Nazi imagery but she later deleted the Instagram post and issued an apology. In the apology, she said, ‘she was not aware of the meaning of swastika in the t-shirt she wore.’
