Tula brief bio and background
Carlos “El Tula” Pascual was born in Rosario on September 11, 1940 and a hardcore fan of Argentina. On the club level, he is always been a fan of his local club Rosario Central. Before moving to mas de Zamora, in the Buenos Aires province in 1976, Tula lived in a house in Calle Juan José Paso. The house is located in the heart of the Arroyito neighborhood, which is one hundred percent rogue territory.
Tula is a hardcore football fan, who has always accompanied the team he loves. The veteran fan reportedly attended his first World Cup back in 1974. During that year, Tula arrived with his bass drum, an object, which has now become a registered trademark. Interestingly, Tula’s base drum was a gift from former Argentine president Juan Domingo Peron. Peron gave Tula the gift during his exile back in 1971 in Spain.
“I hitchhiked 15,000 kilometers”
During an interview at the Qatar tournament in December, Tula shared:
“My first World Cup was Germany 1974. I hitchhiked 15,000 kilometers. I went out in all the world’s newspapers, the BBC in London gave me an interview with an interpreter.”
The hardcore veteran fan shared about it while showing the newspaper clippings. Tulu has uninterruptedly attended the World Cup from 1974 to 2022 ever since. Tula further added that:
The only one who has more World Cups than me is (Enrique) Macaya (Marquez). He is a great one”
Enrique Macaya Marquez is a journalist who covered the most World Cups, who claims to be present since Sweden 1958.
