Devon Starling Brief Bio
Devon Starling was born in Nashville, Tennessee and he finished his high school from Cane Ridge High School. Before joining Tennessee State University, Starling went to Memphis. He is currently a junior at TSU and plays as a RB wearing the kit number 3.
Starling was born in Nashville in 2000 with him aged 22 currently and and sent to New Orleans as a child by her mother, moving back and forth a few times between the cities. When she became pregnant with Devon, she moved back to New Orleans into a one-bedroom apartment in a housing project in Mid-City. Devon is currently dating a girl named Mia.

High School Career
Back in high school, Starling was rated as a two-star prospect by 247 Sports and Rivals. He was also named as the 2018 Tennessee Class 6A Mr. Football. As a high school senior, Starling rushed 2,159 yards and completed 25 touchdowns.
As a junior, Starling finished just a little shy of 2,300 yards, while completing 28 touchdowns. After finishing high school, Starling earned several offers including Central Arkansas, UT Martin, and Howard. He also drew some interest from Memphis, Austin Peay, and Tennessee Tech.
2019
In 2019, Starling did not play for the Tigers as he was at Memphis.
Spring 2021
Devon Starling enjoyed a successful freshman year in TSU back in the spring of 2021. He was named the OVC Co-Freshman of the Year, becoming the third Tiger to ever earn the award.
He was also named as a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, which is given to the top offensive player. Starling played in seven games that season, rushing a total of 648 yards on 124 carries and completing three touchdowns.
He completed 100 rushing yards in three games, and scored a season-high of 149 yards against Murray State (3/21). He ran an impressive 80 yards in five of seven games. Starling made a notable 65-yard touchdown run, during a 26-24 victory over TN-Martin (3/28). He earned an OVC player of the week following that win.
Starling was the leading freshmen in running on the national level, with over 100 yards more than the player behind. He was ranked in 16th place nationally and first among all freshman. Starling was acknowledged on the All-Newcomer team after making his transfer from Memphis.
Fall 2021
In the fall of 2021, Starling played in all 11 games, leading the team with 800 rushing yards. He also led the team in receptions, with 37 across 312 yards through the air.
He finished the season with 1,100+ all-purpose yards, three touchdowns (Grambling State (9/5), Eastern Illinois (10/23), and UT Martin (11/6). Devon also finished several games where he made 100+ yards: 142 yards against Kentucky State University (9/18), 120 yards at Austin Peay (10/2), and 122 yards at Eastern Illinois (10/23). He also caught 12 passes for 117 yards at UT Martin (11/6).
2022
This season, Starling played a total of 10 games, finishing in second place with 540 rushing yards on 116 attempts. He tallied one score on the ground at EWU (9/3), and held an average of 4.7 yards per carry.
Starling gathered 16 passes for 221 yards and completed one touchdown. He also finished the year with a total of 761 all-purpose yards. Moreover, he made managed a notable season-high 207 yards rush on 25 attempts, where he scored (9/3) against EWU.
