The 1000-kilometer Hockenheim was immediately suspended, and the event organisers chose not to proceed with the race after providing no additional details regarding the circumstances behind the catastrophic tragedy.
The incident happened at the Hockenheimring, a famed Formula One circuit that hosted the German Grand Prix from 1977 to 2006. The Mannheim traffic service will now work with an expert to reconstruct the incident and determine its cause as part of a probe into what transpired.

Troy joined the Vitori-BRT team with his older brother Christoph in an effort to become one of the top riders in the category and to achieve his maiden Top 10 finish in the 2024 season.
