Who is Robin Minz?
In a June 2023 interview, Minz, whose cricket journey began at the age of 8, disclosed that his father, a retired army man currently working as a guard at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, supported his passion for the game. Having completed his 10th grade, Minz fully embraced cricket. Despite not making his debut in First-class cricket, he had already captained Jharkhand’s U19 and U25 teams in the same year and garnered attention for the Mumbai Indians’ UK tour in July.
Currently, Minz is showcasing his wicketkeeping and batting skills for the Sonnet Cricket Club in Namkum. Although he didn’t secure a buyer at the 2023 IPL auction despite participating in trials for Delhi, Lucknow Supergiants, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders, all demonstrated interest in acquiring him.
