At the age of eight, he moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 after starting his football career in the Colchester Villa Youth Football Club’s youth academy.
He scored five goals in his debut game of the 2020–21 season, which he would go on to play in 12 more (U18 Premier League and FA Youth League). He made 18 starts in the league, was influential on 22 occasions (16 goals, 6 assists), and even wore the captain’s armband multiple times.
Then, Donley committed to Tottenham on January 12, 2022, for the duration of his first professional contract. He made his first appearances for Wayne Burnett’s reserve team after being called up for the first time and having grown too big to play for the U18s any more.
