He was born to parents, Teresa Mays, and Johnny Craig, and currently plays for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. Craig started out playing college basketball for the USC Upstate Spartans, and he is now in his eighth season in the NBA.

Before becoming a professional, Craig played collegiately at USC Upstate, where he earned an honourable mention All-American as well as the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year in 2012. After going undrafted during the 2014 NBA Draft, Craig started out his professional career in the Australian and New Zealand NBL. He spent three years overseas playing with teams like the Cairns Taipans, Wellington Saints, Brisbane Bullets, and Gold Coast Rollers.
Finally in the NBA 2017 draft, Craig earned a two-way contract with the Nuggets following some decent performances at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. He spent three seasons with the Nuggets joining the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2020-21 season. However, Torrey Craig joined the Phoenix Suns in 2021 after a midseason trade.

Craig then spent the 2021-22 season with the Indiana Pacers before a second stint with the Suns in 2022-23. The 6’5” forward then signed with his current team, the Chicago Bulls during the 2023 offseason. Over the years, Craig has established himself as a strong defender and a very capable shooter. During his first season with Chicago, the 33-year-old shot 39.2 percent from the 3-point range.
