One runner during the London Marathon gained alot of attention he stopped every mile to have a glass of wine and users on social media cannot stop circulating the video.
A celebrity on TikTok, Tom Gilbey set a goal for himself to taste a glass of wine every mile while running the London Marathon.

During his opening remarks to the camera, Tom could be seen taking a sip from a red wine glass. He stated as per The Sun, that they were opening the Marathon with red wine. He further stated, “We’re doing 26 wines one per mile. Let’s go.”
It turned out to be twenty-five wines, but even so, it was an amazing feat, as the tired social media star was seen in the video sampling wines as far out as a mile. That was followed by an incredible four hours, forty-one minutes, and twelve seconds of finishing time as per the afformentioned source.
The influencer later uploaded the video on his social media account to which he captioned:

Meanwhile the video went viral on Tik Tok and fans can’t stop talking about it while they sip the wine. The wine expert was collecting money in remembrance of his mother, Caroline, for the Oxfordshire-based Sobell House Hospice Charity.

Tom Gilbey is a British famous Tik Tok star who has around 90,000 followers. On Instagram, he has amassed around 133k followers with written “wine guy” in his bio.
He went viral during the London Marathon 2024. He challenged himself to taste a different wine every mile for a total of twenty-five.
Even after taking a small sip from the glass, he had to identify each of the 25 distinct wines.
Tom went viral for blind tasting 25 wines on the colossal 26.2-mile route. He got seven fully correct, four wrong and 14 mostly right and has so far raised over £10,000 for Sobell House hospice.
