Who is Titas Sadhu? the next major prospect in Indian women’s cricket
Titas Sadhu is an 18-year-old Indian woman cricketer who was born on September 29, 2004 and hails from Chinsura, West Bengal and is a Hindu by religion. Titas was into cricket since her childhood days and by the age of 13, she had already made up her mind to pursue the sport as her profession. Although, her journey to winning the World Cup has been comprised of ups and down.
During her initial career in making days, she had to be dealt with many rejections, however, none of them, were enough to stop Titas from pursuing her career in cricket. After getting difficulties getting into making her way through, Titas finally got her selection to the Bengals team at the age of 16. She then first started as a practice bowler before exploding her talents to the fullest. She finally got recognization for impressive bowling and was included in the senior team.
Titas Sandhu kept on improving her bowling in the main team and as a result of this, she was called by BCCI for her services in the India u-19 team to represent in the inaugural 2023 u-19 women’s T20 World Cup, and what followed next is history. Titas’s childhood coach was Priyankar Mukherjee with her training at her father’s academy and leaving her school to pursue cricket. Ranadip Sadhu, Titas Sadhu’s father, has revealed that they had to sign Titas up under a male name to play club cricket in the district level. Her height stands at 5 feet 8 inches.
