According to an X user and TikTok influencer named Carly Minnick, she was let go from her job soon after others discovered a picture of her giving the stiff-armed Nazi Hitler salute salute

The user, who went by the name Carly Minnick, an assistant teacher from Dallas, Texas said on Wednesday that she had been fired by her employer not long after being summoned to an “emergency” meeting, however, it was the pose that landed Minnick in trouble. With a placard in one hand, she used the other to do the Seig Heil salute, also known as the Hitler salute.

“My boss says he needs to talk to me in 15 minutes and it’s an emergency,” she wrote.

“I got fired,” she then posted.

“Over the past 24 hours my family and friends have been threatened. Ppl I haven’t spoken to in years are being told they’ll be killed, because they were in a photo with me years ago,” Minnick claimed, adding that she was not afraid as she denied being a Nazi but continued to post pro-Hitler content on her Twitter/X page.

The username @coffeemousee (formerly @MinnickCarly) is used by 19-year-old Carly Minnick. Since then, internet detectives have uncovered her Instagram, revealing that she is from Dallas, Texas, and that she once had brand partnerships as an influencer before she decided to pull out Hitler’s Nazi salute.

Carly Minnick has more than 44,000 followers on TikTok. Her posts there are mostly about travel, skincare, and boy problems, so they are by no means controversial. Notably, one of her 2023 videos has received over 12 million views.

Carly Minnick controversy

After her controversy, Minnick appears to have switched her X handle from @MinnickCarly to @coffeemousee. At first, she did not disclose the reason behind her dismissal from her job. However, she performed a “Nazi salute” in a since-deleted post, as users quickly pointed out in a community remark and her answers.

An account that questioned the authenticity of Minnick, who has over 40,000 TikTok followers, was the source of the debate.

In response, Minnick posted a photo of herself delivering the salute.

The tale went viral after Minnick confessed to being fired, even though the initial hand motion received considerable attention.

Minnick hasn’t disclosed the role for which she was fired, but a screenshot of her alleged LinkedIn profile indicates that she might have been a preschool assistant teacher. Minnick’s boss was allegedly approached by an X user going by the moniker “Stressed Potato.”

Minnick returned to X after a brief absence, but he merely mentioned the incident in passing. In one tweet, she included a picture of Elon Musk making a similar salute and a statement implying that she was defending the billionaire.

It looks like that post was removed. Strangely enough, Minnick’s previous username, @MinnickCarly, has shared an unending stream of Nazi content since ostensibly changing to the new handle.
