Social media users are currently expressing their anger and frustration on social media following the reports that surfaced online claiming the discovery of a human finger in a Yummo brand ice cream.
For those unaware, a Mumbai doctor received an unexpected topping on his ice cream, a “human finger.” Yes, you read it right!
While enjoying the dessert, the doctor felt something unusual in his mouth, initially mistaking it for a “big nut,” only to discover it was a finger with a nail.

The Incident occurred on Wednesday when Dr. Brendan Ferrao, residing in Orlem, Malad, Mumbai, had ordered three ice cream cones via an online app, one of which was a butterscotch cone from Yummo.
Recounting the horrific experience, Ferrao said, “As I got to the middle of the ice cream, I suddenly felt a large piece. I thought it might be a big nut. Fortunately, I didn’t consume it. On closer inspection, I saw a nail on it.”

Describing his ordeal, he further added, “Since yesterday, I’ve felt numbness on my tongue. It’s disturbing to think I had a human body part in my mouth.
What Did the Police Say?
A case was filed against Yummo Ice Cream, and the sample was sent for forensic analysis.
“The complainant, a 26-year-old MBBS doctor from Malad West, found a half-inch long piece of flesh with a nail in the butterscotch ice cream,” stated a senior police officer.

Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, Yummo Ice Cream issued an official statement confirming the halt in production at the third-party facility responsible for the product.
“We are taking this incident very seriously. We have stopped manufacturing at this third-party manufacturing facility,” a spokesperson for Walko Foods, which owns Yummo, informed the media.
The discovery of a human finger in a Yummo brand ice cream ordered from Zepto on Thursday has heightened concerns about the safety of food delivered by ultra-fast delivery services.
