Earlier, social media platforms were buzzing with a viral video of a middle-aged man who caused panic amongst the aboard passengers of an EasyJet flight designated EZY609.

The middle-aged man who repeatedly shouted terms like “Death to America,” “Death to Trump,” and threats like “I’m going to bomb the plane,” was later apprehended by the authorities on Sunday morning.

The flight which was bound from Luton to Glasgow, was immediately met by the Glasgow authorities upon landing at around 8.20 a.m. local time and the man, whose identity is yet to be out, was instantly taken away by the Glasgow police officials.

What Did Witnesses Reveal?

As per the counts given by other passengers, the man seemed to be carrying documents, that reportedly suggested he was an Indian national with refugee status.

As per media reports, the suspect allegedly shouted as he claimed he wanted to send a message to the US President Donald Trump. The reports also revealed that the incident that caused a panic amongst the passengers took place roughly an hour after the flight took off from London, Luton.

What Did the Video Show?

As per the viral video, the man kept shouting chants “Allah-hu Akbar,” as he raised his hands aggressively. The 24-seconds clip which so far has received more than 150K views, features the man aggressively and repeatedly trying to threat the flight as he kept repeating the chants, while a passengers pinned him down on the flights’ floor. After being pinned down, the man didn’t resist and kept quiet.

The 41-year-old man has now been charged after a disturbance on an easyJet flight from London Luton Airport to Glasgow on Sunday morning, Police Scotland said. While his identity hasn’t been revealed yet, according to New York Post citing one witness, the man carried documents suggesting he was an Indian national with refugee status. He has now identified as Indian origin Abhay Devdas Nayak, a Hindu by religion.

The 41-year-old is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court later on Monday with his footage being reviewed by counter-terrorism officials.

The flight which was already close to its destination, was placed under the emergency landing and the authorities were already being aware of the chaos were waiting at the Glasgow Airport to arrest the man, while the air traffic control department cleared a safe path for other descent.

After the plane landed safely, the authorities boarded the flight and apprehended the man. As per the counts given by authorities, the man is 41-years-old. As per now, they believe that the man acted alone and that there is no further hints of a wider range of threat.
