Chip Brown of 247Sports was informed by a “high-level university source” that Texas planned to make Terry an offer for the permanent coaching post and might do so as early as Tuesday.

Terry took over after Chris Beard was let go by Texas in January after being charged with a third-degree felony for family abuse.
According to Katie Hall and Thomas Jones of the Austin American-Statesman, the Travis County district attorney’s office dismissed the felony domestic violence case in February. Since then, Ole Miss has appointed Beard as the team’s head coach.
When it comes to Terry, the Longhorns won the Big 12 tournament and had a 22-8 record in 30 games. In the tournament’s championship game, Texas overwhelmed Kansas and won by a score of 20.
