A 24-year-old cheerleading coach, Rosalin Lewis of Jasper, Texas, was discovered deceased in her apartment by the police on November 18, 2023 with her boyfriend arrested

As per a report by the New York Post, the cause of Rosalin’s death was determined to be blunt force trauma, leading to the arrest of her 23-year-old boyfriend, William Christian Thomas, in connection with her demise.

Who was Rosalin Lewis?

Rosalin, a cherished cheerleading coach and mother of three (aged five, three, and two), co-founded a local dance group called the Stunning Stars Cheer and Dance with her mother, Schwanda Scott, during her senior year of high school.

23 year old William Christian Thomas her boyfriend is currently in custody at the Jasper County Jail, with his bond set at $1 million.


Cause of Death

On November 18, 2023, at approximately 4 am local time, the Jasper Police Department responded to the Myrtis Village apartments in Jasper, discovering Rosalin Lewis’s lifeless body. The Jasper Police confirmed the cause of the 24-year-old’s death as blunt force trauma.

An obituary on KJAS Identified Rosalin Lewis as a native and resident of Jasper, Texas, providing details about her three children and mentioning a GoFundMe campaign initiated by her family to cover funeral expenses.

Funeral Service

A funeral service, held on November 25, 2023, at Faith Temple Church in Jasper, Texas, preceded the interment at Greenwood Cemetery in the Oakhill community of Jasper, under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary.

The tragic Incident occurred just weeks after Rosalin Lewis and William Christian Thomas marked their one-year anniversary, as noted in a celebratory video shared by Thomas, where he referred to her as “my world.”


In the days leading up to her untimely death, Rosalin promoted a fundraising event for Stunning Stars Cheer & Dance on social media.

Rosalin Lewis’ mother initiated a GoFundMe campaign to address funeral costs and support her children. The post highlighted that Rosalin’s life was “taken away from her family” by the “malicious act of someone she trusted and once loved.”

Notably, Rosalin aspired to become a Veterinary Tech while continuing to lead and coach Stunning Stars to the State Championship.

Affectionately known as “RoRo” or “Coach Ro,” Rosalin Lewis served as the coach for Jasper Youth Cheer and offered private cheer lessons. The GoFundMe post emphasized her significant impact on the community, with every girl she coached ultimately becoming a cheerleader for Jasper High School.

The fundraiser aims to reach $25,000 and has garnered over $2,800 from more than 35 donations. The investigation into the case remains active and ongoing.
