Zizou Bergs is a Belgian tennis player who was born on June 3, 1999, in Lommel, Belgium and resides in Neerpelt, Belgium. The 24-year-old stands 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in) tall. 


A look at Zizou Bergs’ career so far 

Zizou Bergs reached his career-high ATP singles rating of World No. 102 on May 20, 2024. He also achieved a career-high ATP doubles rating of World No. 265 on November 27, 2023. 

Bergs participated in his debut ATP big event at the 2020 European Open after receiving a wildcard into the singles main draw. In the first round, he won his first ATP match by defeating Albert Ramos Vinolas in straight sets. 

In March, at the 2021 Saint Petersburg Challenger, Bergs earned his maiden Challenger championship. Later the same month, he would win his second Challenger championship at the 2021 Lille Challenger. 

For his grand slam debut, he overcame Adrian Andreev, another Bulgarian, to secure his first-ever berth in the Australian Open main event in 2023.


Despite earning a wildcard, he lost to fortunate loser Thanasi Kokkinakis in the Miami Open main event of 2023. 

Using a wildcard, he made his main draw debut at the 2024 Mutua Madrid Open. Moreover, on his debut at the Italian Open in Rome, he advanced to the main draw before losing to 10-time champion Rafael Nadal in the first round.
