A young player’s explosive anger was recently witnessed in the 42nd edition of the Les Petits, one of the most prestigious junior championships. The best young players between the ages of 12 and 14 typically compete in this Super Five category of tennis tournaments on the European Junior Tour’s U-14 circuit. It takes place in Tarbes, France.
Players on the roll of honour list, including Bianca Andreescu, Martina Hingis, Rafael Nadal, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Kim Clijsters, Jelena Ostapenko, and Martina Hingis, have gone on to win Grand Slam titles on the senior circuit.
Meanwhile, at the tournament, he showed unsportsmanlike behaviour during his match against Rafael Thao Keuang by giving the chair umpire the finger to show his dissatisfaction.
The young Swedish player was up by a set, but something unexpected happened in the second set. Rafael was attempting to take advantage of his 4-0 lead while William was trailing by a double break.
At 3-0, 40-40, Keuang tried a forehand down the line, but it was obvious the ball went outside. The chair umpire, regrettably, called it as though the ball had landed inside. The umpire called a contentious ball that Repakis thought was wrongly judged, and that’s when the Swedish teenager lost his serenity.
Refusing to accept the ruling, Repakis attempted to persuade the referee that the ball had fallen outside the line. The teen player became enraged and flipped at the umpire when he refused to move.
Meanwhile, according to multiple accounts, Repakis’ actions led to his immediate disqualification from the competition. Following their deliberation between the two heads, Repakis was declared out of the competition. He sobbed and muttered, “F**king lying,” as he left the scene, thudding his racket onto the turf a second time.
