Énorme respect pour ce témoignage. Je regrette que le nom de l'ordure (Andrew Geddes) ne soit pas cité directement dans le tweet. https://t.co/3LqEqR54ZU

Before the panel of investigation, which was established in July to find “shortcomings within sports federations, the sport movement, and sports governance bodies,” Cauchy gave testimony at the Palais Bourbon.
The ex-player said that over the course of two years, Geddes s*xually assaulted her 400 times in total. Notably, Geddes was found guilty of r*ping children and was given a 14-year prison term in 2021 for doing so to four young girls between the ages of 12 and 17. The identities of the victims were withheld at the time, but Cauchy has since provided detailed testimony about how Geddes abused her.
According to her, Geddes coerced then 12-year-old to continue having s*x with him. According to the former athlete, Geddes, 55, led her to believe that their behaviour was typical because “they spend a lot of time together” even though she had expressed her disagreement and that it was wrong. Cauchy disclosed that the event occurred as she was making her way to a 15-day training camp in La Baule. She stated, as per Daily Express:
“I lived the worst two weeks of my life. I thought many times about committing suicide. He r*ped me three times a day. The first night he asked me to go to his room and I didn’t do it, then he came into mine. It was worse. I was in prison, I couldn’t get out when I wanted and afterward, I had to stay in the place where it had happened.”
In addition, Angelique Cauchy stated that the tennis club president was aware of Andrew Geddes’ behaviour but chose to keep quiet because “he brought titles” when speaking further about the occurrences. She further told:
It was known in the tennis world that his behavior with young girls was not correct. When a woman complained to the club president that he had behaved inappropriately towards young people with verbal and physical violence, the answer was ‘Yes, but he brings us titles.”
Notably, three additional females, who ranged in age from 15 to 17, joined Cauchy as victims of Geddes. They had stated that Geddes had assaulted them repeatedly with violent acts in his car, in locker rooms, or during training sessions, forced them to cut off relationships with their families and friends, and compelled them to attend training sessions.
