A substitute teacher Cynthia Peak has been killed in a shooting that took place at The Covenant Presbyterian School in Tennessee on Monday, 27th of March 2023.

Cynthia Peak career, education, and family
Cynthia Peak hailed from Leesville and spent most of her youth in Vernon Parish. She finished her studies at Leesville High School through her sophomore year in early 1977 when her family was relocated to Shreveport. Peak’s father was a local physician which was owned by Broyles Clinic based in Leesville before closing.
She further did her studies at Captain Shreve High School in 1979 and then enrolled herself at the college of TCU in 1983. Peak lived with her family members in the city of Alabama and when she passed away, she was living in Tennessee.
Peak is survived by her loving husband, her 2 sons, and a daughter. The other two innocent and helpless adult victims have been identified as the head of school, who was Baton Rouge native Dr. Katherine Koonce, 60 years old at the time of death, and a custodian, Mike Hill, who was 61 years old.
Three nine-year-old kids who were also the victims of the incident are identified and their names were Evenlyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney.
Koonce studied at the University High Lab School and completed studies at LSU. Dr. Koonce has been at The Covenant School for more than seven years.
Metro Nashville Police has declared in an interview, ‘the shooting suspect was identified as Audrey Hale, who was 28 years old, she was also the ex-student of the school. Audrey was Norma Hale’s daughter.
Authorities have revealed that Audrey Hale was killed and shot by two brave police officers who came to the crime scene and hold the monster on time.
