Last Friday, Peaty, 28, and Greenbank got into a fight at the British Swimming training facility in Loughborough. According to the Sun, it is believed that the incident happened as a result of a remark Peaty made about Greenbank’s long-term girlfriend, 27-year-old British swimmer Anna Hopkin.
According to someone with direct knowledge of the situation, Peaty’s injury was “something and nothing,” and he didn’t need any stitches. In a statement, British Swimming said:
An incident occurred at a recent training session that was quickly and effectively resolved by the athletes involved and the staff present at the session.

Adam Peaty is a British swimmer. He has been in the news because he suffered a face injury in a fight with teammate and Team GB swimmer Luke Greenbank.
He was born in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire on 28 December 1994. His father’s name is Mark Peaty, and his mother’s name is Caroline Peaty. He has three older siblings. He did his schooling at St. Joseph Catholic Primary School in Uttoxeter. Subsequently, he also attended Derby College and Painsley Catholic College in Cheadle.
Adam Peaty met his ex-girlfriend, Eirianedd Munro, at Loughborough University while he was pursuing his studies. They also became parents to the baby boy on 11 September 2020. However, they broke up and confirmed their split in August 2022.

His career
Adam Peaty started swimming in 2009 at the City of Derby Swimming Club with Melanie Marshall as his instructor. In 2017, he switched to full-time training at Loughborough.
He made his impact in 2014 by winning a gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke and a silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and he also helped the 4×100-meter medley relay team win gold. He also set a world record at the 2014 European Championships.
The year after that, Adam Peaty won the 2015 World Aquatic Championships and broke the 100-meter breaststroke world record at the British Championships. Peaty successfully defended his European championships in 2016 and won Team GB’s first Olympic gold in the 100-meter breaststroke by setting a new world record.
