BJP yet to announce candidate for Jaipur
While the Congress has announced Sunil Sharma as its candidate for the Jaipur constituency, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is yet to announce its candidate. Two stages of the Rajasthan Lok Sabha elections are set for April 19 and April 26.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured 24 seats in Rajasthan while the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), a member of the NDA, won one seat. There were no seats won by the Indian National Congress (INC). However, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had a sweeping victory in Rajasthan by winning all 25 seats.
