By earning a place as the winner of India’s Best Dancer Season 4, age 17-year-old Steve Jyrwa from Nongmynsong has brought pride to his community and the entire state of Meghalaya
The family of Steve Jyrwa and the Khasi-Jaintia community along with AMDA organization under President Bah Kitbok Thabah have all been ecstatic about his accomplishment.

During the live performances, Steve’s family, especially his mother Bibi Jyrwa, expressed their joy and urged viewers to vote for him via the Sony Live App with him eventually emerging as the winner of India’s Best Dancer Season 4 and taking home Rs 15 lakh.
His choreographer Raktim Thakuria was handed a prize money of Rs 5 lakh as Steve defeated Harsh Keshri, Nextion, Nepo, Akanksha Mishra aka Akina and Aditya Malviya in the finale.
His mother Bibi Jyrwa revealed that they are from a lowly background and that Steve has had the support of his family throughout his adventure. It is their hope that he will make it to the finals and win.
Steve Jyrwa was born on 20 November 2007 in Shillong, Meghalaya, India and is currently living in Mumbai. The 17 year old is from War Nongmynsong and is from the Khasi-Jaintia community.
Before appearing on India’s Best Dancer, Steve Jirva was a student of Eastern Dance Icons Dance & Zumba Fitness Studio, Nongmensong and started dancing in 2015 at the age of 8. He has also participated in many other dance reality shows like Super Dancer and DID Little Masters.
Steve’s father works in Meghalya while is mother is named Bibi. He has a sister as well.
