Shaun Rooney is a Scottish football player and defender who was born on July 26, 1996 in Bellshill, Scotland. The 27-year-old stands 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) tall.

Shaun Rooney was paid £1,600 per week and £83,200 per year at Fleetwood Town but his salary at St Mirren isn’t known.

Shaun Rooney is a player for St Mirren F.C, a Scottish professional football club based in Paisley, Renfrewshire. The club founded in 1877 competes in the Scottish Premiership.  

The right-footed defender has also earlier played for teams like Fleetwood Town, Queen’s Park, Dunfermline Athletic, York City, Queen of the South, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and St Johnstone.

He played youth football for Dundee United and Bellshill Boys Club before joining Queen’s Park, a Scottish League Two team, in July 2013 and this is how he started his footballing career. 

Soon after joining the team, Rooney made his debut with the first team at Hampden Park during a Scottish Challenge Cup loss to Ayr United. He appeared for 30 games during his breakout season of 2014–15 and later went on to net his first goal with a header against Elgin City on November 15, 2014.
