Jeffrey Dexter Francis Vandersay is a Sri Lankan cricketer who was born on February 5, 1990, in Wattala, Gampaha district, Sri Lanka. He has so far played just 37 matches for his country but is a renowned player in the domestic circuit. Vandersay currently plays limited overs cricket for the Sri Lankan national team. The veteran player recently finished with 6/29 in his seven overs including a crucial wicket over Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Jeffrey Vandersay mainly operates as a right arm leg spinner and specializes in several wrist spin variations including top spin, googly, and slider deliveries. Aside from his bowling style, Vandersay can also play as a right-handed batter. He has so far scored over 1000 runs in first-class cricket, including three half-centuries. He can persistently bowl in the 90-100kmph range.
Career
Jeffrey Vandersay got his debut international call-up for Sri Lanka back during a T20I series against Pakistan in 2015. He played his first match against Pakistan on July 30, 2015, in Colombo. During the match, he registered figures of 0/25 in his 4 overs. The same year, he made his ODI debut against New Zealand, during the 2nd ODI at Christchurch, on December 28.
He has since failed to feature on the international scene consistently, but has dominated on the domestic scene. However, the 34-year-old recently got to play for the national side during the second ODI against India. During the match, he managed to take down six wickets including the likes of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli.
