Lindsay, Czarnaik 47, praised her 45-year-old husband on Instagram Stories, explaining that she was unable to see the event live since she was flying home from Los Angeles.

Lindsay Czarniak was born in 1977 or 1978 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She is 5ft 7in tall. Her father was named as Chet Czarniak and he worked in the sports section of a local newspaper. She was an avid sports lover growing up and participated in field hockey and lacrosse at Centreville High School.
She majored in web journalism when she graduated from James Madison University in 2000.
On October 15, 2011, Lindsay Czarniak married Craig Melvin, a weekend anchor and reporter for WRC-TV, in Washington. In March 2014, Czarniak welcomed her first child. As an intern, Lindsay Czarniak started her career by working for WUSA in Washington, D.C. She then worked for WAWS in Florida, where Lindsay had her first on-air experience. She also worked for the Speed Channel, WTVJ in Miami, Florida, and WTEV-TV in Jacksonville.
After receiving a call from George Michael offering her a position as a sports reporter and anchor, Czarniak returned to the D.C. area in June 2005 and joined WRC-TV. In September 2006, she began working with George Michael Sports Machine. Czarniak’s first significant reporting assignment was to cover the 2006 Winter Olympics for NBC Sports in Turin, Italy.
ESPN/ABC announced on April 24, 2013, that Czarniak would take over as host of ABC’s coverage of the 2013 Indianapolis 500, taking Brent Musburger’s place. Apart from Musburger, she succeeded broadcasting icons and former hosts Keith Jackson, Al Michaels, Paul Page, and Jim McKay. In August 2017, her contract with ESPN ended.
