The 27-year-old has already played for multiple teams in various T20 tournaments and bowls with his left arm fast bowling style. Johnson participated in the inaugural Major League Cricket season with the LA Knight Riders while also playing in the Big Bash League for the Brisbane Heat, Adelaide Strikers, and Brisbane Heat.

He most recently played for the Oval Invincibles in the Hundred and the Surrey Jaguars in the Global Canada T20 competition.
