Kyle Verreynne is an Australian professional cricketer who was born on May 12, 1997, in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. He is a product of Wynberg Boys’ High School and grew up with a deep interest in cricket. Kyle has been steadily climbing through the ranks of South Africa’s domestic setup, and he is known for his right-handed batting and his role as a wicketkeeper-batsman.
He had lost his father a few years back but his mother is still alive along with a brother who got married in 2021.

Career
Kyle Verreynne started out playing professionally in South African domestic cricket with Western Province and Cape Cobras. Verreynne then made his debut in T20s back in 2016, following which he was later selected for the Cape Town Blitz in the inaugural Mzansi Super League. Later in 2023, Verreynne joined the Joburg Super Kings for the SA20 league, where he signed with Nottinghamshire in 2024.
Verreynne started out his international journey with the 2016 U19 Cricket World Cup. And later in 2020, he earned a spot in South Africa’s ODI squad, where he made his debut against Australia on 29 February. Verreynne later made his Test debut in June 2021 against the West Indies and notably scored his first Test century with an unbeaten 136 runs against New Zealand in February 2022.
