According to reports, a student named Sneha was reportedly found dead in Rameshwaram Girls Hostel in Bhelupur, Varanasi. The incident took place on February 1, 2025. Sneha reportedly died under suspicious circumstances, which has sparked all kinds of reactions and uproar.

Sneha Kushwaha was a 17-year-old student who hails from Sasaram, Bihar. At the time of her death, she was preparing for medical exams while staying in Rameswaram Girls Hostel in Varanasi.
This case is of February 1, when the body of the NEET student was found in Rameshwaram Girls Hostel in Bhelupur.

Following the mysterious nature of Sneha’s death, her family has come out claiming that neither the police nor the hostel administration informed them about their daughter’s death. Instead, the family received information about her death from an acquaintance living in Banaras.
Upon reaching the hostel, the family saw Sneha’s body already taken down and laid on the bed and not hanging from the noose. The family further stated that the police did the post-mortem in a hurry and performed the last rites without the family’s permission. Unsuprisingly, the whole incidnet has caused quite a huge uproar.
Several major leaders of Bihar have come out seeking a judicial inquiry from the Yogi government regarding the tragic incident. Rajya Sabha Upendra Kushwaha, who hails from Bihar, also stated that the whole incident is very sad and that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should take stringent action. Meanwhile, former UP opposition leader Swami Prasad Maurya also termed the death of Sneha Kushwaha as murder. He also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter.
