Yes, he is my dad, y’all. The rumors are true; no, I’m kidding. But yes, he’s my dad. He’s my dad.”
Aside from that, she also revealed how both Bey and her mother Jessica Chong, who is also her manager have been very supportive of her as an artist. Laila! shared:
I feel like as a kid, like whenever we would just jam sesh and like vibe out, me and him, I don’t know, I always had my own style, I always had my own thing going on. And he’s always just been like, ‘Okay kid, I see you.”

She had previously shared how both Bey and her mother and manager, Jessica Chong, have been supportive of her exploration as an artist, with Laila! recalling how her father has encouraged her ever since she was little. While her net worth isn’t known, her dad Mos is worth $2.5 million.

Laila! first stared out her journey in music with songs like “Like That!” and “Wassup” just last year. This year, she has gone on to release three EPs: IN CTRL!, Like That! (essentially a smart repackaging of “Like That!”, and “Not My Problem (Flyer Than U).” The upcoming artist gained prominence back in May and June of last year.
She performed a her On the Radar freestyle via On the Radar Radio, which is a platform that has gained popularity over the past few years. Aside from this, her single “Like That!”, which went viral on TikTok mainly brought her fame. The song became viral amongst other TikYokers using it as a soundtrack for countless of videos.
Laila! is now set on releasing her debut album, Gap Year!, on September 6, later this year. The album will reportedly consist of 17 tracks, all of written and produced by Laila!. She is also set on having her first headline show right after the release of Gap Year!. The concert will take place at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn on September 20, 2025.
