As per a recent report by ANI, Aftab, had watched too many crime movies before committing the horrified act with him inspired by Dexter. In November, the victim’s father Vikash Madan Walker, a resident of Palghar (Maharashtra), approached Mumbai police and lodged a missing complaint after Shraddha fled to Mumbai with Aaftab. She was a Hindu by religion while Aaftab was a Muslim with this being a repeat of scores of the love jihad cases India is fraught with.

As per the Delhi police, the accused has binged several crime series including the ‘Dexter,’ before actually committing the murder.
As per sources, Aftab, who has been arrested and sent to the police custody, killed her ladylove following an argument.
As per sources, an argument happened between the duo on May 18. During the quarrel, the girl was yelling at him, and in order to silence her, so that their neighbours won’t listen, he pressed his lady’s face to choke her to death. To hide his evil deed, the man chopped off her body into 35 pieces while using a saw and disposed of her body parts.
As per a report by India TV, the Mumbai native disposed of her girl’s body parts, piece by piece in Capitals’ Mehrauli forest area.
He reportedly even bought a big fridge just to store her body parts. As per reports, he used to go to the forest area around 2 am in the night to dispose of the body remains of Shraddha.
As per ANI, the couple met while working in a call center in Mumbai.
Meanwhile Additional DCP-I South Delhi, Ankit Chauhan revealed in a statement to the outlet that, “They came to Mehrauli police station and we immediately initiated legal action. They had private jobs in Mumbai and the man had started working here. He has been identified as Aftab Poonawalla. They got together via dating app, were in a live-in relationship in Mumbai and continued here.”
The incident was reported first when Shraddha went inactive on social media which made their family worried.
Following her silence, the deceased’s father came to Delhi around 5 months ago and went to the place where her daughter was residing with her lover.
However, after reaching there, the father of the victim found a locked place, later he filed a missing complaint.
Following the complaint, authorities started an investigation and after almost 6 months, they nabbed the accused.
As per several reports, Shraddha was repeatedly asking him to marry her, due to the pressure of marriage he killed her.
