Despite this, Manu Bhaker, the winner of the Youth Olympics, was unable to place third in the same competition. Esha, who is 18 years old, put in a strong effort, earning a score of 34 to take second place. Rui Liu of China, who established a record by scoring 38, ultimately won the gold medal, nevertheless. After shooting 29, Jiin Yang was successful in winning the bronze medal.
At the Asian Games here on Wednesday, Esha Singh added a silver medal to the gold she had already earned for India in the Women’s 25m Pistol Team event.

Esha Singh, an amateur shooter from India, was born on 1 January 2005 and is currently 18 years old.

A look at Esha Singh’s career so far
Singh tried skating, badminton, tennis, and go-karting before to taking up shooting. Her decision to go with an air pistol was influenced by a trip to the shooting range at Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Athletic Stadium.
Her father created a paper practise range at her house where she practised in addition to at the stadium. She later enrolled in Gagan Narang’s Gun for Glory academy in Pune, Maharashtra, founded by the former Olympic medalist.
Singh started shooting in 2014, and in 2015 she won the Telangana state title in the 10m air pistol division. By taking first place in the 10m Air Pistol event at the 62nd National Shooting Championships in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Esha became the youngest senior winner at the age of 13.
Esha clinched gold at the Khelo India Youth Games’ second edition and at the Asian Airgun Championships in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 2019. The same year at the ISSF Junior World Cup, she grabbed a silver medal along with a bronze in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event and ended her year with another gold Asian Shooting Championship in Doha, Qatar.
In the 10m Air Pistol division, she won the national title in 2018. In 2019 at the Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, she took home a silver medal. She also won two gold medals at the Asian Junior Championships in 10m Air Pistol Women (AP60W) and 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team (APMIX).
She also competes in the 10m Air Pistol, 25m Standard Pistol, and 25m Pistol events. At the Asian Games 2022 held in Gangzhou, China, she took home two medals: a team gold for India in the 25-meter pistol competition, and an individual silver.
