Arjun Babuta is an Indian shooter who has recently been in news for winning India’s first media at the ongoing ISSF World Cup.
He was born on 24 January 1999 in Fazilka, Punjab, India. Presently, he is 23 years old. He presently living in Chandigarh, India. His mother’s name is Deepti Babuta. However, we don’t know much about her father.
He did his schooling at a local school. Later, he went on to do his further studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Presently, he is also a student of Lovely Professional University where he is pursuing his postgraduation in Journalism and Mass Communication subjects.
His height is 1.69 metres or 5 ft 7 inches and his weight is 67 kilograms or 148 lbs.
His Career
Arjun Babuta has competed in shooting competitions at a local level at a young age and has become an expert in 10-metre air rifle competitions. His membership in the Indian Shooting Team dates back to 2016. He has represented India at various national and international matches.
At the ISSF Junior World Cup 2016 which was held at Gabala, he took home two medals—one gold and one bronze—in the 10m Air Rifle event.
Later on, in the following year, he earned a silver medal in the international junior competition at the 27th Meeting of Shooting Hopes 2017 in Plzen, Czech Republic. Shortly after that, in December, he won the silver medal in the 10th Asian Airgun Championship in Wako City, Japan.
At the ISSF Junior World Cup 2018 which was held in Sydney, he took home the bronze medal.
