Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, 22, is a native of the Madhya Pradesh village of Ratanpur in the Khargone district. He was born on 3 February 2001. Aishwary, who was raised in a Rajput farming family, is the youngest of three children.

Aishwary’s landowner father Veer Bahadur took him hunting frequently, and his cousin Navdeep Singh Rathore taught him how to shoot targets accurately. He was born in a family of farmers.

At the 2019 Asian Airgun Championships, Tomar took up the bronze medal in the junior 10 metre air rifle competition. Tomar won the gold medal at the 2019 ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl after setting the junior world record in the 50-meter rifle three places.

At the 2019 Asian Shooting Championships in Doha, Tomar took home the bronze medal in the 50-meter rifle three-position event. As a result, India’s second shooting quota spot for the 2020 Summer Olympics was secured, and he also placed 13th overall. Along with Chain Singh and Parul Kumar, he earned bronze in the team competition for the same discipline.

In the men’s 50-meter rifle three positions at the 2021 ISSF World Cup competition in New Delhi, Tomar won the gold medal. Before the standing elimination phase, he secured qualification for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
