Kotak’s career spans decades. Having played from 1992 to 2013, he amassed over 8,000 runs in first-class cricket, including 15 centuries and 55 half-centuries. His leadership was also seen in 2023 when he served as the head coach for India’s T20 series against Ireland. Post-retirement, Kotak transitioned into coaching, working at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Over the last few years, he has played a key role with the India-A team, honing the batting skills of emerging players during various tours. Additionally, Kotak gained valuable IPL experience as an assistant coach for the Gujarat Lions in 2017.
