Lizzo, Shirlene Quigley, and the Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc production team are facing severe legal problems, know the religion of her dance captain
A lawsuit was filed against them, whereas Shirlene was charged with obsessively preaching Christianity. Let us know more about Shirlene.
Who is Shirlene Quigley as Lizzo and dance captain face allegations by dancers and what is her religion
On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, three former dancers; Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez filed a case against Lizzo and Shirlene Quigley.
The plaintiff’s lawyer, Ron Zambrano, said, “The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for privately, while she weight-shames and degrades her dancers in ways that are not only illegal but utterly demoralising.”
Who Is Lizzo’s Dance Team Captain, Shirlene Quigley?
Since 2019, Shirlene Quigley has served as Lizzo’s dance captain for her performances on tour. Additionally, she served as a judge on the singer’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls reality series on Amazon.
As a backup dancer in Beyonce’s Crazy in Love music video, Quigley launched her professional dancing career. She has collaborated with a vast list of famous people, including Chris Brown, Beyonce, Rihanna, Missy Elliot, and Destiny’s Child. She is a Christian by religion.
Lizzo’s Dance Team Captain Shirlene Quigley Accused Of Proselytising
The three former backup dancers’ lawsuit also mentions a run-in with Shirlene Quigley. The dancer was open about her personal sex life and constantly nudged others to disclose their own. In one “party trick,” she allegedly also used a banana to show the other performers how to have oral s*x.
Additionally, Arianna Davis and Noelle Rodriguez, two of the plaintiffs, accuse Shirlene of proselytising.
What Is Proselytising?
Proselytising is the act of trying to persuade someone to adopt a new religion, philosophy, or point of view. Shirlene allegedly “made it her mission” to preach Christianity to Noelle.
Rodriguez even made an attempt to complain to the production company’s management about the situation, but nothing changed. Noelle resigned in support of her two coworkers, Davis and Williams, whom she believed had been wrongfully terminated by management.
Arianna Davis, who was fired on May 3, 2023, after the Fitness rapper learned that the dancer had voice-recorded the performance notes they were given, lodged yet another complaint against Shirlene Quigley. This happened just two weeks after the singer and her crew questioned her about her “commitment to her job.”
According to the lawsuit, Lizzo had previously brought attention to Davis’ weight gain after noticing it at the South by Southwest music festival, but she has now thinly veiled her concerns.
Quigley learned that Davis was a virgin, she revealed this private information in numerous interviews and even tweeted about it on her social media. Additionally, she allegedly intended to convert Arianna Davis to Christianity since she considered Davis to be a “non-believer.”
Quigley had previously been cited as saying that no job and no one will ever stop her from talking about the Lord.
Lizzo Faces S*xual Harassment Case
Lizzo has always been a proponent of body positivity and self-acceptance. The specifics of the recent lawsuits, however, have shocked followers. She has been charged with forcing dancers to engage in s*xual activity.
A Bananenbar nightclub in Amsterdam is one of the venues cited in the lawsuit, where “Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the n*de performers” and “catch s*x toys as well as bananas from their private areas.”
The Grrrls vocalist and Shirlene Quigley have not issued a statement in response to the alleged charges made against them by any media sources.
