Mumbai Police recently confirmed that they have arrested 45-year-old music composer Sachin Sanghvi after a 29-year-old woman filed an FIR accusing him of exploitation and deceit. The FIR was registered under Sections 69, 74, and 89 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and alleges that Sachin developed a relationship with the woman after making a promise to marry her, despite already being married with a daughter.
According to the complaint, the pair first met each other through Instagram in February 2024 and soon started meeting regularly at his Santacruz West studio. Sachin reportedly confided in her about his “troubled marriage” and assured her of divorce, but it never happened. The pair went on trips across Budapest, Dubai, and Mumbai and developed a physical relationship. Sachin eventually pressured the woman into having an abortion after she discovered that she was pregnant. Upon her refusal, Sachin allegedly threatened to leak private photos before blocking her and ending contact after the procedure. He has since been released on bail.
