On Friday, six people were taken to the hospital after the incident that happened behind the Sea Cabins property on Oceans Boulevard around 5:20 p.m.

One of the suspects in the shooting at the Sea Cabins on the Isle of Palms Beach has been named Shawn Alexander Goods-Martin. He is charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Shawn Alexander Goods-Martin: Who Is He?
Shawn Alexander Goods-Martin was born in 2004. He is one of the two suspects who were arrested by the police in relation to the shooting that occurred on an Isle of Palms (IOP) beach on April 7.
The shooting on the beach behind Sea Cabins injured six individuals. All six were immediately taken to the Medical University of South Carolina with non-life-threatening injuries (MUSC). Video of the incident, which was rapidly uploaded on social media, shows hundreds of people running away from the beach.
Another suspect who was involved in the shooting was not named by the authorities as he is a minor. He was also brought to a juvenile detention facility.
Despite making numerous arrests on weapon-related crimes, authorities were unable to determine if those weapons were used in the shooting. It is still unclear if Mr Goods-Martin used the same weapon he was carrying.
The Gunfire Near The Beach
According to the reports, one was an adult and another was a teenager.
Gunfire was reported on the beach behind Sea Cabins, and IOP Police responded. According to a tweet from the neighbourhood police on Friday, “Numerous law enforcement organisations are present to support the inquiry. The inquiry is in progress.”
As per an update from law enforcement, the IOPPD has detained many people present at the site. It stated, “To determine if they took part in the shooting, they are still under investigation.”
The event happened at a pier close to a strip of popular bars and eateries. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call a tip line set up by the Isle of Palms police department.
The Isle of Palms Police Department is receiving assistance from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and the Summerville Police Department. Furthermore, they confirmed there is no threat to the public after the incident.
