The NDA has decided on a seat-sharing plan for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. Shambhav Chaudhary is a candidate from Samastipur, whereas Chirag Paswan is running from the Hajipur assembly seat.

On Saturday, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) declared its candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections which are slated to happen in a few weeks. Chirag Paswan, the head of the party, will run from Hajipur. Arun Bharti from Jamui, Rajesh Verma from Khagaria, Shambhavi Choudhary from Samastipur, and Veena Devi from Vaishali are among other people named on this list.

Beginning on April 19, Bihar will participate in all seven stages of the Lok Sabha elections. This time, Arun Bharti has been handed the Jamui seat by incumbent MP Chirag Paswan.

Sambhavi, who is 25 years and nine months old and a third generation politician, is the youngest Dalit woman candidate to contest the Lok Sabha elections.

Shambhavi Choudhary is the wife of Sayan Kunal and the daughter of JDU minister and ex-IPS Ashok Kishore Kunal Chaudhary. Arun Bharti is her brother-in-law. She is the secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust. Chaudhary attended the Delhi School of Economics and Lady Shri Ram College. She also did a Ph.D. in Sociology. Her grandfather Mahavir Chaudhary was a well-known political leader.

Shambhavi has been given a seat from Samastipur. She is the director of Gyan Niketan School. The BJP is scheduled to run for 17 seats, while JD-(U) will run for 16. The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) announced seat-sharing in Bihar for the Lok Sabha elections on March 18. The Hindustani Aawam Morcha (HAM), led by Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) will each run for one seat. Ram Vilas of the Lok Janshakti Party will run for five seats.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024

The world’s largest election exercise, the seven-phase Lok Sabha polls will begin on April 19 and end on June 4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running for re-election a third time.

Over 97 crore voters including 49.7 crore men and 47.1 crore women were eligible to vote in the 44-day polling process that took place across 10.5 lakh polling places, according to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. The elections will take place in phases starting on April 19 and ending on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
