Yet other individuals’ identities remain shrouded in mystery, including Shahida Telgi, Abdul Karim Telgi’s wife, who is one of the main suspects in the complex case involving counterfeit stamp paper worth millions of rupees.

Who is Shahida Telgi?

Shahida Telgi is renowned for being the wife of Abdul Karim Telgi, a notorious counterfeiter and scammer. She has been in the news because director Hansal Mehta is set to release a film based on her husband’s wrongdoing.

She is a native of Khanpur, Belgaum, Karnataka, and was married to the infamous counterfeiter Abdul Karim Telgi. The couple is also the parents of one daughter named Sana. She and her family are Muslims.

Shahida Telgi was an HIV patient who also experienced several other medical conditions, according to court records. She is listed on the charge sheet in the multi-crore phony stamp paper case along with her husband and a few other individuals. She was finally turned in in 2005 after two attempts to appear in court were unsuccessful.

She asked a special court in 2017 to take nine immovable assets in Maharashtra and Karnataka that belonged to her late husband and his family. The properties are said to be valued at roughly Rs 100 crore in total.
