According to the Maywood Police Department, Sergio’s family alerted police authorities after they were unable to find or contact either of them.

Sergio developed a passion for American football at an early age, Before going professional, he played for the University of Notre Dame. Throughout his career, Brown achieved consistent success and was one of the most sought-after American football players.
During his career, Brown played for the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills. He began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent for the New England Patriots on April 29, 2010. He made his NFL debut on October 24 against the San Diego Chargers, where he recorded four (4) tackles in the game.
During his time with the New England Patriots, Brown played in eleven (11) games as a reserve. He finished with a season total of eleven (11) tackles. The following year on August 31, 2012, the New England Patriots waived him ahead of the start of the 2012 NFL season. As a result, Brown signed with the Indianapolis Colts the next day on September 1, 2012.
After spending about 3 seasons with the Colts, Brown signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on March 11, 2015. However, almost a year later, on April 18, 2016, the Jacksonville Jaguars released Sergio.
