Lupita added the hashtag “#breakup” to the end of her full statement and said,
I share this to keep it [real] and hoping that the knowledge of my experience might be useful to someone else out there experiencing the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it.

His full name is Selema Mabena Masekela. He was born on August 28, 1971, in Los Angeles, California, U.S. He was brought up on Staten Island, New York. His father is the South African jazz musician Hugh Masekela, while his mother is of Haitian ancestry. Masekela also has an elder half-brother called Nathan Gonzalez, a competitor on Survivor: Cook Islands.
Selema Masekela did his schooling at Carlsbad High School. However, not much is known about his further studies.
He was in a relationship with Lupita Nyong’o, a renowned Mexican-Kenyan actress. Masekela is currently 52 years old. He has never been married.

His career
In 1992, Selema Masekela started her journey as a Transworld Publications intern. Later, during the 2003–2004 NBA season, he started working for ESPN as a sideline reporter. He also co-hosted E!’s The Daily 10 until it was canceled on 27 September 2010.
He presided over the X Games and Winter X Games on ESPN for 13 years. Additionally, he developed and hosted the docuseries VICE World of Sports for VICELAND. Selema co-founded Stoked Mentoring, an organization that mentors at-risk adolescents via action sports.
Selema Masekela is on the advisory boards of The Lunchbox Fund, which provides daily lunches to pupils in township schools in South Africa, and The Skatepark Project, which aims to construct top-notch, kid-friendly skating parks. He also strongly supports Life Rolls On and the Surfrider Foundation.
Additionally, Selema made appearances in movies including Point Break (2015), Uncle Drew (2018), and a Sneakerheads episode in 2020.
