Millwall FC goalkeeper Liam Roberts is married to wife Scarlet K Roberts
Just eight minutes into Saturday’s FA Cup match against Crystal Palace, Millwall goalkeeper Liam Roberts was sent off for a dangerously reckless challenge on Jean-Philippe Mateta, which resulted in the striker being taken off on a stretcher.
Mateta was hit on the side of the face by Roberts’ hard left-footed follow-through as he sprinted outside the 18-yard box and jumped to clear a long ball.
Before being put with a neck brace and taken off the field in the direction of an ambulance, Mateta lay on the ground for a number of minutes and required extensive medical attention.

30-year-old was born on 21 November 1994 and is 213 cm tall. Liam is married to his longtime girlfriend, Scarlet K Roberts and while much is not known about her with her having set her Instagram to private, the two got married on 9 June, 2024.
Scarlet was born on 4 January and while her DOB isn’t known, she is aged between 25-30 years.
Liam Roberts career
Liam Roberts joined Romulus on a work experience loan on December 4, 2012, after starting his career at Walsall’s development program. On May 7, 2014, Walsall released him. Roberts was loaned to Rushall Olympic right away.
On September 9, 2014, he joined Rainworth Miners Welfare after his loan agreement with the Pics was ended early. On November 27, 2014, Roberts and colleague Amadou Bakayoko joined Conference team Southport.
Roberts, who joined Gresley on January 16, 2015, had a successful stint in the second part of the season after failing to play for Southport. Roberts played 18 games for Gresley as they fought for a spot in the Northern Premier League Division One South play-offs.
Roberts signed a contract with Northampton Town on June 22, 2021, for an unknown sum. After maintaining 20 clean sheets during the season, he was selected for the PFA League Two Team of the Year. Roberts agreed to a two-year contract with Middlesbrough on June 21, 2022. Roberts signed a season-long loan with Barnsley on July 18, 2023.
Roberts joined Championship team Millwall on July 22, 2024, after Matija Sarkic, the goalkeeper for Millwall’s first squad, passed away unexpectedly.
Jean-Philippe Mateta was given oxygen on the pitch after Roberts’ powerful kick into the side of his head during a contest for the ball outside the box in an FA Cup fifth round match against Crystal Palace on March 1, 2025, earned him a red card.
